Our Mission: To be our members' trusted financial partner providing tailored solutions to support them throughout their life events.
Cobalt Credit Union traces its roots to November 1946, when 12 individuals submitted a request to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to form SAC Federal Credit Union. The first location of SAC Federal Credit Union was Andrews Field, Maryland. In August 2018, the credit union changed its name to Cobalt Credit Union.
In 1948, the Strategic Air Command Headquarters relocated to Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. Cobalt Credit Union has, for over 75 years, been meeting the financial needs of our military, their families and retirees. Cobalt Credit Union currently has 26 branches and 255 employees, ready to service Omaha and the surrounding towns in Nebraska and Iowa and has over 116,000 members.
