FORUM Credit Union is a financial cooperative serving families and businesses in the state of Indiana since 1941. FORUM’s purpose is to help members live their financial dreams through a full suite of financial services, including financial coaching, commercial lending & deposits, insurance services, health savings accounts, and investment planning. FORUM has been named as a “Best Places to Work” in Indiana every year since 2012 and is dedicated to helping members achieve their goals in all aspects of their financial lives.

History

FORUM began in 1941 as Hoosier Federal Credit Union, serving the employees of Indiana Bell Telephone Company. The Credit Union changed its name to Indiana Telco Federal Credit Union in 1961, and then to FORUM Credit Union in 2000. FORUM was one of the first credit unions in the nation to offer checks in the early 1980’s and was again a pioneer by developing and selling loan origination software to other credit unions in the early 2000’s.

FORUM is dedicated to giving back to members through products and services with rewards for behaviors encouraging use of the cooperative. In addition, the FORUM Foundation provides giveback through the grants and scholarships awarded annually. Additional community give-back includes initiatives such as Fridays with FORUM, featuring locally owned businesses and rewarding members with special discounts and cash back.

FORUM teammates take pride in being part of the communities they serve. The teammate driven and funded Spirit of FORUM allows employees to nominate and vote to select the primary charity supported by teammate fund-raising efforts throughout the year. Employees volunteer their time, organize donation drives, and contribute money to support the selected charity each year.

FORUM’s original headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, opened in 1975.

FORUM Credit Union’s main headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, which also is home to the FORUM Events Center, hosting corporate meetings, wedding receptions, and other community events.

FORUM employees gather by a box truck being donated to a local charity dedicated to serving the homeless population. Employees raised funds to donate this truck through a variety of events taking place throughout the year.
