Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union (SFCU), consistently voted Readers Choice Awards #1 Community Bank, puts people first, servicing our members to meet their financial needs and values each member relationship
History
Our roots were established in 1960 as The Shrewsbury Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union, allowing employees to pool savings and lend to one another and own the organization where they obtained their financial services. As a federally chartered credit union, membership expanded in 1985 to employees of Boylston and West Boylston, as well as federal postal workers. In 2003, the credit union opened membership to everyone in these towns and our name changed to Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union.
We now serve a broader area but have remained solid, successful and secure due to our stable foundation of conservative investment practices and responsible lending.
