For 75 years, Travis Credit Union has served our members through financial empowerment, education and community advocacy. What began in 1951 with a handful of people at Travis Air Force Base has prospered into a recognized banking leader in Northern California and a preferred financial partner in Solano and Yolo counties. Today, TCU has 24 branches, $5 billion in assets and more than 250,000 members. TCU is 2026 Certified as a Great Place to Work, has been recognized as the U.S. Air Force Distinguished Credit Union of the Year in 2025 and is on the 2025 list of Forbes Best Credit Unions in California.

History

Founded in 1951 on Travis Air Force Base, Travis Credit Union today is recognized for its financial education programs, community outreach, solid financial strength, commitment to its military heritage and as a major employer in Solano County, California.

As of 2026, TCU has 24 full-service branches, more than $5 billion in assets and serves 250,000 members. Its service area covers 12 Northern California counties. TCU is a Community Development Financial Institution, which means it is certified to serve low-income and disadvantaged communities. In 2019, TCU established the Travis Credit Union Foundation for its community outreach and financial education initiatives.

TCU is a leader in financial education initiatives for youth. Our Generation Wealth program has taught thousands of teens basic money management skills that build the foundation for strong financial futures. Our long-standing annual Community Impact Scholarship provides 20 high school seniors with $2,000 scholarships.
